Double Trouble!!

I raced outside with my zoom lens this morning as I had seen a Kookaburra perched on a tree stump and thought it would make a good blip.  Oh, no he's flown the coop!!  I decided to sit quietly for a while and sure enough Kooka came back with his mate. 

I decided to post without cropping because I wanted to show the type of environment that they enjoy.  The ground beneath the trees has been pretty well cleared (you'll have to trust me on that one), mainly to ensure we have a fairly solid fire buffer between the bush and the house.  This has given the kookaburras a pretty good look at what could be lurking on the ground that would make a tasty treat.
