Just a Saturday in the Foothills
A day for errands
and some last minute shopping.
Time for a cider.

Poached eggs for breakfast. Another lovely day in the sunshine. We were expecting some company from California for the weekend but that didn't come to pass.
We set off for the Arizona Market Mall, the closest outdoor market to us in the Foothills. Truly it is just one big 'dollar store' with big aisles. There are few handmade or original items here. Most of what's on offer has a "made in China" tag attached to it. Outdoor markets have been a feature of Arizona for many years. Sad to say they aren't like they used to be.
We did find a welcome sign for the house. SInce we added the Arizona room, delivery people seem confused about where the front door/entry way is. Someone will drive up and wander around trying to locate the door. Hopefully, this will make the decision easier for them.
Temperatures are cooling for both day and night this week. Overnight it got down to 3 degrees Celsius. We've got the convection heater plugged in for the evenings now. There is a furnace but it makes so much noise, I prefer this little portable electric heater. It doesn't make noise at all.
Daytime temperatures are getting up to 65/66 Fahrenheit (18 degrees Celsius). We see some Arizonans with ski jackets and long trousers now. As for ourselves, it's T-shirts and sandals.....I'm not giving in....this is my second summer!
