Power Cut

Coldest day of the Autumn and so of course that meant a power cut. 

Just after the chicken had been put in the oven. 

I was in the local Co-op at the time and the staff locked up although they did let me buy a few provisions as I had cash, they had to walk up and down the aisles with a torch looking for prices though and then add it all up with a calculator.

I was on my way round to pick up Joe's pal for the afternoon and so the kids all snuggled under blankets to keep warm. We cleared the cardboard boxes out the way and lit the wood burner in the living room just in time for the electricity to come back on. 

Chicken is salvageable ( we think) and so everyone will be fed.
