Advent Sunday...

Once again the wild wet and windy weather put paid to my plans, so instead of going to church for the Advent Sunday Carol Service, I've lit the first candle of my Advent Wreath and have settled myself down for the evening in the warm and dry...

The Advent Wreath dates back to the time when I lived in Germany, 24 years ago, and so do the candles. They still had the price label on them in DM, pre Euro! Having been in the attic for many years, the candles and wreath are looking a little worse for wear, and a bit bent out of shape, a bit like me!

So the candle and fire are lit... Strictly's due to start shortly... I think it's time for a Mince Pie!!
