Supply Boat for Offshore Workers
Set out this morning to take part in Dundee St. Andrew's Day celebrations - pipe bands etc. in the city square - only to find out all trains from Aberdeen to Dundee had been cancelled due to work on the line:-( The trains were running in the opposite direction so off I went to Aberdeen instead. Not even a Saltire Flag in sight in Aberdeen. (A saltire is a heraldic symbol in the form of a diagonal cross, like the shape of the letter X in Roman type. Saint Andrew is said to have been martyred on such a cross). There was a Christmas Village in the town centre - a bit like the German Christmas Market. All sorts of Christmassy things on sale and lots of food - for example, Bratwurst and Currywurst but no Gluhwein:-( I also took a walk around the Docks and took lots of shots of the boats that take supplies to offshore sites. This one took my fancy most!
