Water Mill Meadow

I had a walk along the bank of the River Stort this afternoon and as I returned to Parndon Mill where I had left the car the sun was setting. I climbed the stile into the water meadow that was partially flooded. Luckily there was no sign of the bullocks that have spooked me in the past.

I've included a pic in extras of a magpie sitting on the back of one of the mill sheep. I've never seen this before but evidently sheep don't mind as the magpies peck tasty tick and maggot morsels out of their fleece.
