The Russell Cotes Museum
This is a beautiful piece of Victorian Bournemouth, originally the home of Merton and Annie Russell-Cotes. It houses a fantastic collection of fine art, largely gathered by the Russell-Cotes on their foreign travels. It's had a facelift since I last visited, and the dragon at the gate who demanded a hefty "donation" has been replaced by a more conciliatory personage. A pianist was playing all the time I was walking round and the sound echoed beautifully round the building.
The extra is of a surfer on the railings outside who rather took my fancy.
