Flower Friday – AZ Special

Something a little different – maybe not quite as different as last Friday.
 
Many years ago when our Auntie Zélie was living alone in Woodstock she was always killing her flowers through neglect.  So we bought her this one as a challenge .  .  .
 
All was fine until one or two of the carers decided to help and water them.  Well I did finally manage to get the mould out with the aid of lots of bleach and determination, and when she moved into the Willows it moved in with here.  Guess what?  For Auntie’s final months this sat on her windowsill with a large note underneath it saying “DO NOT water!!”.
 
Now it lives on our mantelpiece.
