The Calm Before

Tonight it is blowing a gale and the wind had risen so much by mid afternoon that the ferry across Loch Fyne was cancelled for the rest of the day , forcing me to drive the long way back home from a surgery and meetings in Tarbert & Campbeltown.

But as I left home early this morning, the moon and the stars were shining in the calm before the storm.
