The Wiyos

Strange day. Last day of teaching, took Mrs P to hospital for an op (routine) and she is now recovering and will hopefully be back tomorrow.
In the evening, I went to our local theatre to see The Wiyos, an American band playing a fusion of Americana, bluesy, folky, jazzy music with the most eclectic collection of instruments I have ever seen. I think they are what someone referred to as a jug band, which Wikipedia informs me are typically made up of African American vaudeville and medicine show musicians. Beginning in the urban south, namely Louisville, Kentucky, and Memphis, Tennessee, they played a mixture of blues, ragtime, and jazz music. Great fun.
