Toots in Solitude

By Toots

How could I pass this field of poppies and not take a photo of them again. I just wish there had been some sun light working it's way through their depths and highlighting their splendour.

At this time of year I notice how the once trimmed down hedgerows carry their wayward growth like a spiked punk hairstyle and it reminds me of my own nest of hair at the moment, for, though I'm reluctant to tell, I did get scissor-happy once again and now I have a thinned-down version of Ken Dodd's hairstyle. Scissors should be banned in my house.
