Anyone for football?

Our estate was one of the lucky ones in Kendal as the majority of houses stayed unflooded. The ones next to our playing field weren't so lucky...

Kendal is pretty much cut off from the outside world and dealing with flooded homes and businesses. There were at least 300 people forced out of their homes last night. Several schools are going to be closed tomorrow and some businesses will take weeks to reopen.

In parts of the county roads and bridges have been washed away. The impact on our 1/2 million residents will linger... Local MPs pressing for emergency funding to repair the damage.

More rain forecast... Yesterday over 300mm fell in one day - the normal rainfall for a month.
