Christmas Carol Service
We have just got home from the school carol service. The nine lessons and carols were as beautiful as they are every year, with the choir singing so well and the trumpets and organ accompanying. We sang my favourite carol - O Come O Come Emmanuel - and also my other favourite - In the bleak midwinter. It was a good way to start the Christmas season.
It's blip and run tonight as I am busy packing as Gavin and I go to Switzerland on the very early morning flight tomorrow morning. I have mentioned previously that we sold our existing apartment in the early summer and bought another one, all in the same village about half a mile apart from each other. The new one is roomier and will see us well into the future as our family perhaps grows one day with future generations! Gavin and Luke packed up everything in the old apartment in the summer, and the stuff went into storage. We are now able to move into the new apartment and so Gavin and I are going to move in and unpack everything from storage.
The weather is looking beautiful out there, with bright sunny skies and the snowfall is already very good - but the grumpy Boss Gavin says there is no time to ski as we will be working non stop unpacking and sorting stuff as we are only there for 3 days!
