Burn Unit

Today we worked in the burn unit at the hospital. I almost didn't make it through this photo shoot. I went and watched this little girls get her bandages changed. It was the most painful thing I have ever seen. She was thankfully on a lot of pain meds so she didn't seem to be in a lot of pain, but it was horrific. Her skin was literally peeling off. Her father told us that she stayed home from school the other day (which she never does) and then was outside and got burned somehow (I think she fell in the fire).
