Another Scorcher and 600,000 Still Without Power

The weather has been wild in the Washington, DC metropolitan area over the past three days. A truly wicked storm blew through late Friday with 80 mph winds and knocked out power to over a million homes. Sadly, this storm also took the lives of at least 13 people from the midwest to the east coast and caused quite a bit of property damage.

Temperatures yesterday (Sat) and today have been pretty close if not over 100 degrees with very high humidity. Today's blip features the Crystal City Virginia electronic billboard which is right outside my hotel. It is insane that it is this warm so late in the day!

Power was restored to my home this evening and am looking forward to being in my bed tomorrow night.

Goodnight and hope to get back to a normal blip routine this week.
