Joe

Joe, one of the regular customers at the local McDonald's. There's an informal morning shift system in operation here - before 9, it's the haunt of bleary-eyed workers stopping off for coffee and breakfast; by 9.30, they've gone and the pensioners take over for coffee and a leisurely read of the papers; at 10:45 they're repelled by the invasion of noisy schoolkids from the high school just down the road . . .
