The Old Barn

My friend Darren has had a fortnight off work on holidays and is back in this Friday. Today was the first day when the forecast was half decent so I picked him up at 3.15pm and we headed out to get some photo's.

The sun set just after 4pm. There was a slight reddish sky but the clouds some came over, so we headed off and came back to this location on the Caerleon to Usk Road where there is a lovely old barn in the centre of the field. Using the Star app on the iPhone, it told us the Milky Way was over the barn. To get as much in of it as possible I've put the camera in portrait mode. For the trained eye you can make out the Milky Way.
