The Alley

The fence bordering the alley which leads from the village green to the village hall is green once again. It is a bright colour and reappears every now and again despite being rubbed down and treated frequently.
Russet finds the leaves on the ground very interesting but she waits for me as we reach the end.
How many villagers use this alley every day I will never know! But it avoids going round by road and yet only residents would realise that it exists!
