View from my seat

Not a very good blip from my seat at our WI Christmas party, but after all the (shared) work the party went well, the food was really delicious and varied, and the entertainment was well received!
We did a skit called the Lighthouse Keeper's Daughter. I took the part of the doctor who got to win the heart of the Daughter after she had rowed a boat across a rough sea, taken me up dozens of lighthouse steps (round and round our standard lamp actually), and so on!
Then we sang some carols, but oh dear! The health and safety inspector kept interrupting, telling us that the shepherds must use a sat nav and we might be reported to the RSPCA for over working the donkey!
