Prickly Ball Alert

I was greeted with a very scary prickly ball this morning just as I was about to leave for work. Delilah had again decided she was going to try to hibernate :/. This is not a healthy thing for an African Pygmy Hog to do as they can totally shut down and die.

So she came to work with me so that I could warm her back up again. This is when she was starting to come round a bit. All those cute pictures on cards of curled up Pygmy's are actually pictures of hogs in great distress :(

I'm pleased to report that by about 10am she was warmed through and huffing for Britain in the awesome way that she does. Hogs do indeed rock, but can be blooming stressful too!
