The Snowman

We took the whole school to see a performance of 'The Snowman' today.

The orchestra was made up of musicians who take part in Derbyshire's Musical Opportunities Programme. This programme enables whole classes to learn an instrument together for a whole year. Our school is currently learning ukulele, having studied violins and clarinets in the past. It is a brilliant project.

We learnt about the different instruments being played and listened to 'The Nutcracker Suite' before watching 'The Snowman' on the big screen whilst the orchestra played the soundtrack - amazing and awe inspiring. A lovely afternoon :)
