A ray of hope

Another day of flood warnings and worries. Poor Glenridding hit badly again over night.

In our street after 24 hours of pumping the water has noticeably gone down but it's still in back gardens. Really hoping the forecast is wrong as the ground too sodden across the county to absorb any more..

This sunset over a much calmer River Kent is hopefully a good sign that it's not all bad. People still pulling together and where possible getting on with life as normal.

Great to hear that the Cumbria flood fund has hit £1 million.
