Candlelight in Gouda

The annual eve at Gouda of switching on the lights in the Christmas tree was here today again. The 60th year in succession that a tree was given by the city of Kongsberg , Norway to Gouda, the city of candlelight (and Gouda cheese & Gouda syrup waffles & Gouda pipes to name a few) ~ little after I took this blip it was 7 o'clock and then only candles lit the square and this townhall of the city.

Anyway a blip that marks the final weeks of the year with the touch of Christmas & Peace to all.

have a great weekend!
