Fantasy Land.

I have always fancied a Christmas in the Alps. This may be as near as I shall ever get to it.

Thanks to all blip friends who helped to identify yesterday's photo as Roll Waves. And especially to blipper emhowl who gave me links to academic journal articles. I read them and have some better idea of what they are although the maths was beyond me.

Needless to say as it has been raining all day in the village there are hundreds of them. Indeed I was able to use them to clean the mud off my walking shoes.

I was pleased that my curiosity gave rise to much interest. But Hydrology is a very complex science.
