River Uck

Apparently, the council changed the shape of the river's name sign to stop the local comedians defacing it.
Today, this is where the little man and I met his mum after her post round. The river was only about 5ft wide here today, although it did look rather more lively than usual due to recent weather.

Hard to believe that back in 2000 it burst its banks and caused catastrophic flooding in the town.
