Christmas at Speke Hall

Today was the final day of the season at Speke Hall. It has been a very successful year for this NT property with all sorts of records broken. Again today there were lots of visitors.

In the 1860s Frances Leyland, who was a tenant at the Hall, made an entry in her diary to say how much she was looking forward to the magic lantern show. Another magic lantern show was held in the Great Hall. Follow the link below to see some images from it.
