ROSES IN THE PARK

still flowering abundantly.
In the morning I cleaned our bedroom. It feels so good that I could finish this floor. Still enough to do on the ground floor, starting tomorrow.
I saw part of a movie on TV that I watched when a teenager. Drei Männer im Schnee, by Erich Kästner. I happen to have the book, never read it;  it has the german old fashioned lettertype, that I can read but not with much enthusiasm.
After lunch it was high time to go for our walk.
I suggested to walk into town, see what would happen there.
The roses in the park was my favourite and Piet Hein could catch a Christmas tree before the entrance of the Schwann Hotel, the long church in the background.

My haiku:

The yellow roses
Have left long ago, the pink
Stealing the show now

And the proverb:

Scarborough warning.

(= very short notice, or no notice at all; a surprise)

1546 Heywood.

I noticed that I had omitted the proverb yesterday. It was a simple one:
Win purple, and wear purple.
