A Special Evening

We took our (second visitors this week) family out to dinner tonight, and chose a lovely hotel in the countryside near Sherborne. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which made the evening quite special! The food was fantastic, the service excellent, and before and after our dinner we sat in comfortable chairs in front of a log fire.
We had a taxi home - a mystery tour all through tiny hamlets and narrow roads which did, surprisingly, end up in our village!
It was altogether quite a treat.
