Man up a tree
This evening, I was asked to give a presentation to the 'Lions of Motopo's'. I'd never heard of the 'Lions club' but it seems that it's an international club. I'm hoping that they will support the project I'm setting up to feed school children in some of the worst hit areas here. They have to vote on whether the project is worthy of their money - fingers crossed they vote the right way.
The meeting was supposed to start at 5.30, so the military Brit in me got there for just past 5, in time for introductions and set up. At 5.35, a couple walked into the building, just as Dirk and I were discussed at what point we gave up and left - we'd even worked out where to go for supper. So darn, it, people showed up and at 6.30, I started talking. I'm not used to Zim timings yet (if ever). As we were waiting for people to arrive and unlock the hall, we noticed this chap in a tree on the corner of the street. Lord only knows what he was doing up there.
Once finished we left, starving, unable to find anywhere to eat. Monday night, anywhere that does open in the evening is closed on a Monday - so eventually we had tailgate supper in the car park of a shopping centre as the last of the shops shut. Of the pie and salad, most of the salad got thrown out for being so disgusting, shame, we both really wanted a lovely fresh salad.
