Marchen Maersk

We had planned a day in North Norfolk today but it was overcast and drizzly first thing so we had a lazy morning at home.   It brightened up a little this afternoon so we took a drive to Felixstowe Port, where we were surprised to see quite a bit of activity with ships coming and going.
This is the Marchen Maersk, built earlier this year.   She is a Triple E Class (one of their largest), her gross tonnage is 194849, length 399.2 metres and breadth 59 metres.
With the wind coming off the North Sea it was quite chilly so we stopped off at a pub on the way home and enjoyed a delicious carvery meal.   Absolutely stuffed now, wont need to eat for a week!!
