Trudy

Another busy ish day. Up & out to see Mum calling at the Post office to post cards to my sister in France. Had several cups of tea with mother as well as testing her mince pies & her jam tarts before driving up to the churchyard to have a chat with my Dad. I try to go 3 or 4 times per year - we talked about the mild weather, the state of the economy, how mum is coping & how everyone is. Most of the time we just admire the view together. Before he died he said he wanted to be buried next to Air Commodore P as it was a good view of the surrounding countryside. His last wish was made possible because he was so friendly with the local vicar & mowed the churchyard on a regular basis. Its hard to believe that he has been gone for eleven years....we all miss him so much.

An easy drive home and I was just getting myself some cheese & biscuits for lunch when Carol & Trudy walked in having been to the Broad Leys PH for lunch to celebrate C's birthday. They have always been good friends since her & Peter moved into the Dene with their two nippers J & G.

When they separated & sold the house we still kept in touch and see them both occasionally.

A very dull mild but dry day.
