Self help 21st. Century style.

This important footpath from the village to the foot of Arnside Knott was in a bad state. Often flooded and muddy and with overgrown hedges. Cumbria County Council could find have the cost of renewal if someone else could find the balance.
Fortunate we have a Parish Plan Trust which works along side the Parish Council but which can do many things which the latter cannot do because of government regulations. With much energy and enthusiasm it succeeded and we now have an excellent half mile of upgraded footpath.
