This day has been looming for a while; in a way it's good to get it underway, but a real pain to be back at the beginning again. I had a procedure on my leg back at the start of September, and after waiting months for (lost) results, they decided they wanted more removed as the results were inconclusive. So I was back to have another chunk of leg removed. It was a much bigger operation this time; I was in theatre much longer and felt the effects much more afterwards. Once they were happy I was ok I could go, and spent the rest of the day at Mum's. We finished decorating her tree, then spent the rest of the day watching Home Alone and the Strictly final. By the evening the bruising was already creeping beyond the dressing, but surprisingly it didn't hurt too much.
