... having a break before 'the big push' ...
He's resting up in front of the Quaker burial ground at Tirril where the remains of Charles Gough are buried. Gough was found dead near Red Tarn below Helvellyn in 1805, 3 months after he had gone missing, with his trusty dog by his side. The story became the subject of poems by Wordsworth ('Fidelity') and Walter Scott ('Helvellyn').
Yet another very wet day.
