Beyond that, is Skiddaw House, a Youth Hostel, which is having some celebratory event this weekend. We didn't get right up to the waterfall as it was getting late, but it really is a lovely area. Many years ago we used to take the kids for picnics in the summer and play around in the river along the bottom.
