The Sea

10.9C with some rain at first then clearing to a bright afternoon. One or two squally showers later. Wind to 25 mph with gusts to 43 mph.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. Northern Soul on the Nano (various artists). We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. The centre grass part of the track where the tractor wheels don't run is being broken down by horses hooves and is now just as muddy as the puddly potholed sides.

We walked along the cycle path and went over the road bridge over the railway and down to the beach at Westhaven to have a closer look at the sea. I miss being able to cross over at the level crossing and walk along part the beach. We stayed a few minutes then crossed back and carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.
