B.A.C.K. to Basics

In looking ahead to tomorrow's festivities, we decided to cook and shuck all of our lobsters for easier (Ok, cleaner) eating tomorrow. Cooking them outside on propane stoves made it quick, easy and less smelly. Mom & Dad stopped in to help shuck the creepy crustaceans.... I'm very proud of them, as they have perfected the self-invite - dropping in around dinner time to "help out", ironically hungry for dinner.

Lucky for them, I was one step ahead - cooking enough bacon for all of us to enjoy some delicious BLT's. 'Cause let's face it, nothing says summertime like BLT's and Lobsters.

So, the mess happened tonight - the meat has been packaged and tomorrow all we have to do is heat, add butter and enjoy.... and enjoy I will!
