#Smallmoments

I’ve often wondered how the life was like in the old days. What did people do during the day etc.? The answer to such questions is very often based on interpretations but not facts. However, today I stand in this point where this photo is taken and have all the true answers. This small village, is where our summer house is located in. We call it a village but there aren’t any villagers living there as well. All of them went to the new village, close to the seaside and the village you see is located in the mountains where the Dilek Peninsula National Park starts. What’s special with this place is that it’s under protection by the government because it is a historical area. Left from the Greek people who lived there until 1923 and succeeded by the Turkish people coming from Greece and later on succeeded by us it is possible to breathe in the streets of the village where the history lies under. Every building, some even with furniture left inside is standing against the wind waiting for their new owners after the others went away. There are names written on piece of stones on the roadside dated 1924 and being able to see and part of such history is what I like the most about this place. Once there were some owners for this village and we succeeded them, I wonder if we’ll be considered as owners and be succeeded by someone else as well? Here was the #smallmoment of the day.
