Botanical Penguin
The day started wet and we pottered abut in the car, with forays out to see the castle, George Street and the West End. In the afternoon the wether improved and we marched to - via Inverleith Park - and around The Botanics.
P and A were in a fine mood after long terms at their respective jobs and placements.
Terry came over with Poppy (both were a hit) and we made steaks and and fried potatoes. The Principal arrived late after a long flight back from NY feeling dreadful.
At the Botanics while looking at the watercolours for the book on Chilean plants I saw a Dipper bobbing about in the edge of the ornamental pond. When it swam in the ayer- which was almost at eye level - it looked like a miniature penguin.
