After an early start dropping off the car to get its heater poked at, it was through with Malky B to meet Mad Cap'n Mike for a drink or two and a curry. And talk about the impeller and my options of course. So we started in All Bar One as it was conveniently situated between the stations. I'm sure we intended to move on, but we got seats, and that was very convenient too. That chat was as great as ever, and we hatched a little sea voyage plan come May. You always catch up on what the kids are up to - his middle one has now a campervan and is planning some sort of musical playing around Europe come Spring. With his vegan girlfriend. And their vegan dog. How I larfed; the poor mutt enjoying its tofu. There's something about dog that just says carnivore, is there not?
Anyway, then 'twas on to Rishi's for the curry, which I thought was ok, but the Cap'n declared to be pish before he bade us Merry Christmas and headed for his ferry. As I'd got a cheap day ticket we had an hour or so to kill - and there was the Horsehoe looking very festive and full of cheer. And very conveniently situated.
