Family.

I didn't take this but for me, this is what Christmas is about. Here are my two daughters and I, plus my five grandchildren, skyping with my son in Australia, in order to wish him a Merry Christmas. Even though we are distant in miles, we are a close family.

This is eight of the ten of us here. Missing from the pic are the two husbands, one of whom took the pic. It is a fun mix of New Zealand and German but no language problems - there is always someone around to translate when stuck for the right word.

It has been such a fun day, and ended withh a water fight - children and adults, which finished off in the pool.

It must sound odd to those of you who are experiencing a mid winter Christmas.
