Waiting for Christmas Dinner

Our Blip friends in the Northern Hemisphere may find this rather strange but some of us down under who are experiencing summer, like to have our Christmas dinner outside.

Here we are seated out on the patio and about to help ourselves to a range of meats, salads, and potatoes done in different ways. Dessert was a huge pavlova, fresh fruit salad and an old favourite - ambrosia. All washed down with wine for the adults and sparkling grape juice for the children.

On the left is my youngest daughter and her husband. On the right are her in-laws who are lovely folk.

We have had a fabulous day. It is so different to what I experienced as a child, but equally as good. The family are creating their own traditions and that is as it should be.
