I do like to be beside the seaside

Cygnus introduced me to the word "Dreich" yesterday.  That description also applied to today.

Our plan today was to drive to South Cumbria to visit Scott's parents.  With A591 closed for the foreseeable future this meant a detour via Penrith and down the M6.  Add to this the dreadful weather and it wasn't a pleasant journey.

We spent an enjoyable couple of hours meeting extended family over lunch before we decided it would be sensible to head back.  The roads were flooded in several places but we managed to get back home to Keswick.
