Lake Rotorua

We went for a drive through the Braeburn Track this morning, ending up at Lake Rotorua for a picnic lunch.  The day was brilliant, not a cloud in the sky - only a million and one sandflies hovering around!

This is the jetty at the lake.  When we were there, people were swimming in the Lake, cooling down from the 31 degrees C air temperature it was when we were there.  I think summer has finally arrived.

We toured on home, stopping in at the Red Barn Café for afternoon tea.  A nice way to end a great day out.
