Sunshine after the rain
What a lot of rain we had yesterday!
It was pretty much non stop all day; I feel so sorry for the people that have been affected. It would be rotten to be flooded any time of year but more so at Christmas.
To see places nearby to us (like Whalley, Ribchester and Padiham) on the news and social media was pretty surreal.
Luckily, we weren't affected and although my Dad lives in Padiham, he's at the top of the town so he was ok.
I had hoped (for the sake of others) that that was the end of it, but there's another weather warning for more heavy rain on Wednesday.
It's crazy to think just how much rain we've had in such a short space of time, yet across the pond in California they're suffering an 11 year drought. What a shame we've no means of bottling and shipping our water to them.
This morning however, brought us blue skies and sunshine so I thought I'd go out and get some fresh air while Mr A is at work.
Today's blip is a place I've blipped before, called Haggs Lodge. It's a popular place for fishing (I spied two guys today) and a longstanding body of water, rather than the ones that have been created by the deluge of the last couple of days.
