Bonus visitors
Archie is up to his old tricks again - pinching socks, tissues, playing with his toys, gobbling his food. What on earth happened to floor him the other day I don't know, but he was out for the count for 24 hours. We kept checking that he was still breathing! Surely eating some mud couldn't have had that effect. Do dogs get 24 hour flu? So nice to see toys all over the house again! And so very nice that he got better before we took him to the emergency vet...
What a lovely day, after yesterday's constant drizzle. But at least it wasn't the downpours that other parts of the country are enduring, poor souls. This afternoon Leo and his mum came over. They're bonus visitors because they are actually not supposed to be in the UK this Christmas, but in the USA. Z had made a wee mistake in the visa form and so was denied entry! All this at the last minute. Oops - Plan B.
We all went for a walk up the hill. Archie had a great time, meeting other dogs, having a play, and coming and sitting for Leo, who gave him treats. In fact, Archie was quite at home with Leo by the end of the afternoon, even sitting in his lap for a while - though not entirely relaxed, I must admit. We'd really like him to get more used to little people and little voices.
Leo and I played one of my favourite games on the iPad Pro, but it's too hard for kids (and me) - Machinarium. We liked the simple wee game to access the clues best - just shooting at spiders and avoiding bricks - which meant we had to work together. We got quite excited, blaming each other for every failed attempt. Archie stayed on my lap, right next to the loud voices. Amazing.
Been watching old Alan Patridge stuff on Netflix. Quite amusing. Last of the turkey tonight.
I've added in an extra of the two wee lads. One of them has a very fine pair of eyebrows.
