Today didn't exactly go to the plan intended but worked well anyway - we had decided Katie and I would go to church then all have brunch, a beach walk and go to the Sealife Centre. Parts of this plan sort of happened. Not much of it for me! Church was relocated and changed time so we didn't make that. We were about to brunch when my brother called asking me to drive him to York as the flooding had cancelled all trains there from Scarborough. So Katie spent a few hours with my parents. She troughed brunch and very much enjoyed time on the beach and promenade before I surprised her by turning up at the seal feeding demonstration. We had a great time exploring and also saw the penguin talk. We came home for leftovers tea and have decided to stay an  extra night - well, there's free wifi, good snacks and someone else's heating bill!
