I should be so lucky

Lucky gate in Dartmoor village. Walking on Dartmoor is now almost a weekly event and today we walked from Bel Tor corner, taking in Leusdon and its lovely church, the River Webburn , Spitchwick, Aish Tor and the legendary Dr. Blackall's Drive. Dr. Blackall, who died in 1899, lived at Spitchwick Manor and his friends built the drive so that he could take in the scenic views in his carriage. It has been said that on certain dark nights a ghostly figure wearing a top hat can be seen along the drive. We ended the day at the legendary Holne Community Tea Rooms and Shop. The sun shone for most of the afternoon - we should be so lucky.
