merry christmas!

baby callie's first christmas!
a splendid day, pretty perfect (aside from the rain)
children woke us at 7.47 and waited ever so patiently until 8 before opening stockings. they didn't even attempt to go downstairs or ask if there were any more until the family arrived around 9.

callie, as expected, wasn't in the least bit interested in presents. she wanted to climb in the bags, eat the paper, roll around in the 'snow' and munch through the entire tangerine left in the stocking (peel and all), and the remnants of rudolph's carrot - as seen in today's blip.

we spent the morning at home, then went to the pub before discovering santa had been to my parents as well - with a trampoline amongst other lovely things! bit too wet for bouncing unfortunately. the torrential rain hasn't stopped all day. delicious lunch of turkey and goose with all the trimmings, followed by stick man on the telly, a puppet show and some family games.
