a very wet boxing day

we were in the middle of attempting to find homes for all the new toys when news started to filter through that the rain last night had caused devastating amounts of flooding locally - pretty much all the surrounding towns and villages. our homes, thankfully, weren't affected but the family business has been. the alarms going off alerted us to the fact the whole factory floor was under 3 feet of water thanks to the adjacent river bursting its banks. gutting :( there was very little anyone could do until the water had abated, and it was near impossible to get anywhere due to road closures, sink holes and flooding but after delivering welly supplies, we thought we'd chance heading over to yorkshire, sticking to our plans to visit family in sheffield. 

was good to see every body and introduce callie to the hot tub. she loved it. the children just adore their cousins. we're looking forward to getting  another one in the new year.
